Frequently Asked Questions

How many treatments are recommended for an effective detox/clean out?
In relation to how many treatments you need we recommend a series of three.
We do this because the colon is broken down into 3 parts, and each treatment attends to each part of the colon. The conduction of these treatments goes as follows, the first and second treatment are separated by 1-3 days and the third up to a week after the second.

How much does Colonic Irrigation cost?
Each treatment is normally charged at $80. We currently have a special running where if you purchase the initial 3 treatments  you receive the first one at half price, this works out to be $200 for the 3.

In relation to treatments after the initial 3, we recommend once a month and we have the price of this maintenance visit at $70.
If you decide that you only want to do one session (to try it out!), you are welcome to
do that and the price is $80. But please understand that the clean out will not be as thorough.
Unfortunately Colonic Irrigation is not covered by health insurance.

Will I feel embarrassed?

Your treatment will be held in privacy and you will remain completely covered during the procedure.

What about smells and odours?

The uniquely designed colonic irrigation bed makes this procedure odourless

Will the rectal tube hurt me?

The slim rectal tube is made of soft plastic and is designed with a rounded tip for easy self-insertion

We also provide a sachet of lubricating gel to make the insertion process as simple as possible.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment is not painful.  During the procedure you may notice some slight pressure, just as you would naturally when you feel the need to move your bowels. 

There is some associated discomfort and mild cramping but a heat pack is provided to minimise this.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatments go for 45 minutes but you need to allocate an hour and a half for the first treatment. Half an hour of this time is spent on education, explaining how the machine works, what you are going to feel and how to insert the tube.
The following treatments require one hour.
You are able to conduct your day as normal after receiving treatment.

Can I catch AIDS or any other infection from the procedure?

No! The rectal tube is sealed in a sterile pack and opened only when required for your treatment, after which it is immediately discarded.  All other equipment is chemically cleaned between appointments.

Do I need to ‘fast’ or stick to a restricted diet prior to  receiving treatments?
We ask you not to eat for 2 hours before your treatment. We also encourage an increase in water consumption.
